[BaselWorld 2017] Lang & Heyne
My favorate new watch at this years BaselWorld is the Lang & Heyne Georg. A rectangular watch with an outsize small seconds on a white enamel dial. From the front it is handsome, from the back it just blows you away. The movement is built above a flat main plate, each wheel with its own polished stainless steel cock. The contrasts between the grained gold plated plate and the polished cocks could not be better.
Interesting details like the concave chamfering of the case corners and the big round seconds dial emphasize the squareness of the case. On the wrist the case is slightly curved for a great fit and feel.

This Georg is an absolute winner and with the enamel Grossmann Atum the Germans have really set a high bar for three-hand watches.
