"The festive watch" - our theme for Wrist Scan on Friday, August 28

Dear fellow purists,

two weeks ago we gathered our "watches at work".
This week´s topic wants to elicit our festive watches, the special ones which might be locked off for the rest of the year to be worn only on THAT special occasion once a year, or more or even less often?
Whatever that occasion may be: an anniversary, a graduation ceremony, a formal dinner, an awarding ceremony (need not be the Oscar or Nobel Prize), a family celebration, your wedding anniversary, a christening - something that is different from everyday routine and merits a special watch.
Those of  you who never go to any of these events (are there really some?), please show us the watch that makes your day a very festive one simply be wearing your special watch!
I am sure there are a lot of these solemn watches around in the community.

I have three watches that come to my mind:

My dad´s Dugena that he gave me sometime, an engagement present to him from my mum dating back to 1963. I will wear it on any family meeting with my parents.

This Oris my wife gave to me shortly after our own marriage. It is my choice on any family occasion that mainly concerns our smaller family circle, i.e. my wife and kids.

This vintage Seamaster might be on my wrist for other festive occasions outside the family.

Ladies and gentlemen: Let the feast be opened!
