Dear fellow purists, two weeks ago we gathered our "watches at work". This week´s topic wants to elicit our festive watches, the special ones which might be locked off for the rest of the year to be worn only on THAT special occasion once a year, or more ...  

. . . years between festive events! When I do, though ( cue The Most Interesting Man in the World ) , I prefer . . . . . . the rose gold Karree. :-) ...

I think we both would be surprised how many occasions may exist for others to have a feast! My neighbour is celebrating every day without heavy storm, snow or rainfalls or lightning with a garden BBQ. Some women have champagne for breakfast for the sheer ...

Is the first one an enamel dial? Looks like that on the picture. That would be the cherry on the cake. What are the movements on the cuff links? I got similar ones made from Hamilton movements. (Sorry, no pictures because I am on vacation.) Beautiful ense...

There is no heirloom watch in my family (sigh), but my dad has a collection of beer mugs built around one that was given down from his great father and one passed down from his godfather. So these take the part of acting as symbols of the family bonds dur...
