A new partner for Richard Mille: Nafi Thiam
To be honest, it is not a surprise for me that the newest Richard Mille partner is a woman. One of the strategic trends for the brand is to be more focussed on ladies' watches and once again, the partner was chosen with care.
Because, in my point of view, Nafi Thiam is a perfect partner for the brand. She's the heptathlon champion who won the gold medals at the 2017 World Championships and at the 2016 Olympic Games. And as a heptathlon champion, she is very gifted in different disciplines.
These beautiful pictures are a good summary of this statement: she's able to wear with the same style and elegance several models from the collection including one of my fav pieces... the RM016!
We don't say it very often but due to its rectangular shape, the RM016 looks very large on the wrist... and it is the reason why it is so gorgeous on a lady's wrist!
So welcome Nafi Thiam in the Richard Mille family: she will bring her dynamic image, her talent, her beauty... she is the 4th track & field athlete to be involved with Richard Mille after Mutaz Essa Barshim, Yohan Blake and Wayde Van Niekerk.
