A newbie needs you help to compare apples and oranges
Dear all,
This is the first post of young watch enthusiast, very happy to finally join the WPS community.
In order to fight the current global gloom, I have decided to get my first JLC and have narrowed down my hunt with two different second hand models that would be used mostly during leisure time: 1) the 2018 Polaris Memovox or 2) the Amvox 7. I find they both have a very cool factor, expressed in totally different manners (clean dial and alarm, on the one hand, original chrono and power reserve mechanisms + intricate dial, on the other hand).
There is no real difference from a budget point of view, but I would be interested to know whether you think one of the above models is more interesting than the other (from a purely horologic point of view, as the aesthetic aspects are of course very subjective).
Please note that I do note intend to dive with my future watch but would be happy to gently swim with it. I do not know whether JLC markets rubber strap that could fit perfectly the Amvox. If you have any information in this respect, let me know

There are indeed many sages here who'll be able to offer advice, and I know one or two who own/have owned variations on the Amvox chronograph. I'm not going to claim any great expertise (though I own a few JLCs), but as you intend to swim with your planne...
The crystal pusher chronograph for the Amvox is a much more interesting complication
It's something fun that you could interact with whenever you're bored. Sounding the alarm on a memovox every other minute is going to piss people off
