Auctionata......any experiences?

Recently I have had some less than stellar experiences with Auctionata.

Let me explain. Some months ago I bought a watch in one of their auctions. Their invoice for payment was rendered next day, I paid immediately. It took a week for them to confirm receipt of the funds but no mention of any action on delivery. I then emailed them asking when my watch was going to be delivered. Their response was tardy but said 'within two weeks'.  WTF!!!  Every other auction house can manage delivery within two or three working days of receipt of funds,,,,why not Auctionata?
As you might imagine I phoned them and told them exactly what I thought. It seemed to have an effect and I received my shipment three days later.

Also I noticed that on their invoice they have "Transport Insurance" for €260......on a €4,000 apprx item?  The airfare to collect it would be cheaper!!

Then I asked for a valuation on another watch and received their estimate promptly. After my experience I was uncertain about putting it in their hands. They kept following up,,,pursued me really,,,phone, email etc. Eventually I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and put my watch in their auction. They were very insistent that their contract of sale/consignment was signed in numerous places.

Now to the present. In the auction for my watch I bought another piece and, thankfully, mine sold.  Next morning I received their invoice for payment, including the ludicrous €260 "insurance",,,which I will dispute.
But not a peep about the sold item and my payment.

The whole experience has made me doubtful about Auctionata's integrity.

Has anyone had dealings with them, hopefully better than mine? I must admit to getting nervous.

Thanks

Antony
