Recently I have had some less than stellar experiences with Auctionata. Let me explain. Some months ago I bought a watch in one of their auctions. Their invoice for payment was rendered next day, I paid immediately. It took a week for them to confirm rece... 

I checked some of their auctions, and... 1/ I found their pictures didn't give justice to the watches they put on auction. Which is not good at all for the seller nor for the buyer as you cannot judge the watch in a good way. 2/ The description they make ... 

also I feel that if they had given more time on the auction of my watch they would probably achieved a better sales result. Another learning experience on the carousel of the watch hobby. Thanks for taking time to look into them. Antony

Besides the fact that I suspect having bought a watch with a refinished dial, I have sold a few others with them, it took them 40 days instead of 20 to make the payment due to an internal mistake that they acknowledge at the end. One watch was not sold so...

I assume they just don't care and feel immune from legal action. The trouble is that we are all so busy that we don't have the time to chase them down. Your experience was horrific,,,I hope that you didn't pay too much so the loss is mostly the feeling of... 

Yes, you are so correct...it is maddening to do all the work required to fix a situation like this. I assume a large percentage of us have busy work/home lives. Would rather be spending time doing something more pleasant than taking the time to photograph... 

that I had a similar experience with Antiquorum,,,,no apology letter,,,,just a very quick refund. That was fine by me,,,no complaints. They did what was I asked very quickly and without question. Antony

They just contacted me,,,Sunday evening? Hmmm.....have they been reading this thread I wonder? They confirmed the hammer price and said they would issue a credit note!!! A credit note??? I want PAYMENT....I can smell major aggro coming......

I do hope it will end soon I have no expérience with auctionata but I have with auction houses in Drouot , very bad... the expert stations the watch was serviced but no invoice , bad description I think except for top auction houses ( and to confirm ) you...

and my experiences have been mixed. What I will say is that they will respond to pressure, so, to pick up on a theme in this thread, when I don't hear anything about shipping soon after a winning bid and payment, I contact them and put pressure on them to... 

I think that you have it it exactly right and saved me from working out my own conclusion. ATB Antony
