Using the selfwinding Caliber 2897 makes sense on a robust Royal Oak Offshore, and the other current collection Tourbillon Chronograph offerings are manual wind. The dial cutout at 1:00 is interesting. I'm slightly bothered by the "Audemars Piguet" logo, ... 

Looks amazing! I thought Forged Carbon was being discontinued? Does this mean that they are changing their mind or just taking advantage of some of their inventory? The matte marbled contrast really balances out the other brushed, polished and blasted sur... 

I have always clarified on this forum that forged carbon had not been discontinued, despite numerous erroneous reports over the last 20 months +/-. AP simply emphasized in 2013 that they would be focusing more on other materials. They never discontinued f...

However over time I usually grow to like a piece I was initially luke warm too. I bet it looks great up close on the wrist

I certainly like different things, and this dial layout has some oddities. That small subdial, below the larger interestingly shaped dial cutout - well, you don't see something like that too often.
