So Rolex will presumably update the submariner with the new movement this year. Let’s say that does happen. How long is the waiting list going to be? I find myself not excited anymore for upcoming Rolex models as they are unatainable and have year long waits. Anyone else feel the same?

Rolex is obviously King, but their production and release strategy is annoying. Two years later stainless steel Daytona’s going for $17-20k in the aftermarket - insanity!

I've really wanted the Black 116500 to compliment my White 116520 but the insane markups turned me cold. So, I'm in no hurry and continue to purchase other watches that are more attainable.
Make a modern DRSD and satisfy the craving of those who missed the yesteryear and doesn't want to pay crazy high prices for rusty :)
