BEWARE
As we all know, there are some out there who are not reliable or possibly have suspect motivations when it comes to our horological passions. When it comes to selling one of your fine pieces, beware. I just travelled from Prague to Milan and back again as agreed with a so called private banker. In Milano, I was met by extremely suspect behavior, people at the meeting who were new to me and not the person who was agreed to meet, and a constant effort to get me or my friend out of the restaurant with the watch in hand. A loss of two days of work and having to pay for lunch myself, was all it cost, but beware!
Further the individuals, wanted the cash transaction to be conducted in a hurry and in a car parked on the street. EVERYTHING screamed, this is not right.
I am glad to report that all is well and I and my friend are home safe and my DaVinci Kurt Klause is safe. The words spoken by the supposed banker in this transaction, were not the ones of any banker I have ever spoken to before. Be extremely careful with the Hottinger organization. As much as I checked for independent confirmation of their legitimacy, I have a feeling a group is phising the organization with a cover web site and phone service.
