De Bethune ....some words from David Zanetta
Thanks to Jaslin Lim at the Hour Glass for forwarding to me this email response to some questions and answers for thepurists.com from Mr David Zanetta.
Most of all, thanks to Mr Zanetta for the replies.
I have posted up verbatim to preserve the natural accent and the pictures were taken during the Hour Glass's anniversary, Tempus.
I really think that the simple De Bethune 3 handed watch is strangely beautiful for some reason that i cannot exactly describe.
What is yet more strange is that I normally prefer extraordinary weird and wonderful little (big) watches...but the De Bethune has this extraordinary appeal. The pictures speak for themselves....but the actual watch is even more beautiful both in tactile and visual arenas.
