Dodge Challenger down

Friday afternoon, I made a run North in my truck to meet my daughter in Fort Collins and bring her home for the weekend. The highway is 2 lanes each way once out of the city area, and the limit is mostly 75 MPH. Several areas where you are going the full limit but then slow down considerably as certain exits approach. This car was right behind me. I had the windows up, AC on, radio going, but heard that unmistakable skidding sound. Glanced to my side mirror and saw this car shoot left just past my bumper. It seems he never slowed as I was, and swerved left to miss me (much appreciated on that!). The truck behind him clearly missed the slowing too, and rear ended the Challenger. Pushed him right through the steel cable barrier. Not a good way to start the holiday weekend for those fellas.

It would not have been any kind of a fatal accident, but probably a helluva stiff neck and then all of the crap that goes with fixing a car - insurance, delays, rentals, etc. And a daughter waiting for her Dad to arrive!

Lucky you! The driving on I25 between Denver and Fort Collins is a game of survival, we try to avoid I25 as much as possible!

A real shit show. America's roads are HORRIBLE. And in Colorado...

With all of our liberal, pot smoking, high taxation assholes, our roads should be paved in gold. I love our state from a climate and beauty standpoint, but I can't wait to move one day. It gets worse and worse over the past 20 years.

We had been in the same patch of cars for a while. Looked like someone very proud of his ride.

I actually find I70 East to be worse. From the Eisenhower tower down the hill, you gotta be so careful. People going way too fast.
