Freak Blue Phantom: Two quick pictures.
You know it very well, a Freaaakie Fan of the Freak never sees too many Freaks.
I saw the Freak One ( for sure, as I own it for 8 years, now ), the Freak II, several times, the Diamond Heart, as well, and the Diavolo, but believe it or not, NEVER the Blue Phantom, in the flesh.
So, it was a great first, for me, this week end.
When you're used to the Freak One, the most evident thing which " jumps to the eyes " is the bigger case ( 44, 5 mm diameter, instead of 42 mm ), but this more generous dimension is the apanage of the later Freaks, such as the 28 800, the Diamond Heart, the Diavolo and of course, the Blue Phantom ).
The other change is the lock system at 6 o' clock, which wasn't introduced on the Freak one. The good think is that this system avoids the bezel to accidentally turn, the slightly negative point is that it ruins a bit the original and very pure design... But this is something you can live with, for sure!
The last detail is that the hour " hand " is blue, like the dial, at the contrary of the Freak One or the Freak " 28 800 ", whose minute hand was in the same color than the case ( white for the white gold, rose for the rose gold version ).
All in all, it looks more sporty, more mysterious than the Freak One... Maybe less legible, too, even if Legibility is not the most evident thing you're thinking about when you are a Freak lover.
Anyway, here are the 2 quick pictures I took of this Beauty:
A Freak is a Freak and whatever is the version you will go for, or you are dreaming about, this is a great and original watch.
Best,
Nicolas
