From Funky to Functional - 33 Years between 'drinks'...
Well, the wait is over... After what seemed like an eternity, finally picked up my NSA Incursion from the Boutique last Thursday.
For those of you who read my other thread, you'll know that it was almost love at first sight when I saw this piece at the Boutique - I had of course read about the piece from other members' posts prior, but I had never expected to find one almost a year after release, just sitting by itself at the boutique.
Since my last memovox (given to me by my mother 33 year ago), I see this piece as a nice 'update'; whilst my E873 is funky and quite 'presentable'; the NSA on the other hand is (to borrow the words of others) like the ultimate 'tool' watch. Both definitely have their place in my weekly rotation.
Currently have it on Ted Su dive strap (thanks to photos from snowballz in another forum), I may consider the rubber but my end game for this piece will be the articulated rubber - to which Boutique is checking whether the deployment clasp can be DLC coated to match the casing).
So without further ado, the changing of the guard:
Never really noticed how 'big' the NSA is until you stack it against another watch. One thing I love about this watch is the fact that is doesn't feel like a 44mm (to me anyway).
Gotta thank JLC for the cool dive bag they gave me... Whilst the Boutique experience did leave something to be desired (another story) the bag at least provided a nice backdrop.
#16/62 Reporting In for duty:

At risk of sounding like an Award Acceptance speech, thanks to all who assisted me on this journey:
Amanico - For his warm welcome to the group and for helping (and confirming) with his contact the whole PVD Vs. DLC debate (Oh, and a big congrats on your 50,000+ posts! I don't think I'd even want to think how many words that equates to.)
Craniotes (and Snowballz indirectly) - For their current/prior postings (especially the unboxing one), and for the Ted Su pointer.
DRMW - For the 'official'coverage and posts of the Coronado event that initially piqued my interest in the watch.
... And all other fellow PuristS.
This one's a keeper!
Best!
Stephen.
