...thanks for your comments. I'd like to take the credit for it's 'youthful' appearance but It's more a function of the fact that for the first 18 years of my life, the watch sat in my mother's cupboard waiting for me to 'come-of-age' and the next 10+ years sitting in my drawer because I was either too afraid to wear it (due to it's family value) or because I didn't find it suiting my image at the time.
Only over the past 5+ years have I grown to truly appreciate it (in terms of the Manufacture). But even so, I still wear this piece sparingly, probably because of it's irreplaceable nature so much so that the case back still has the majority of the blue waxy substance intact (which just goes to show how little I wear this). Watches I've bought over the last 10 odd years, whilst precious to me, are still 'replaceable' (usually still in circulation) and infinitely more serviceable that the E873 so this piece usually sits outside my usual weekly rotation.
The E873 was not a watch I chose, but it was the first in my humble collection and a keeper it is.
Kind Regards,
Stephen.
