Geneva Week 2014: fourth day wristshots
Another busy day as you can imagine!
François-Paul Journe presented his new ladies' watch, the Elegante but also a new dial for the Chronometre Souverain:

Ludovic Ballouard unveiled a blue dial for the Half-Time:
A new collection for Roger Dubuis. The Hommage collection is more than a tribute to Roger Dubuis himself but it is a true tribute to fine watchmaking.
The Quatuor is now avalable with a Titanium black DLC case:
The Double Flying Tourbillon is the most spectacular watch of the Hommage collection with a beautiful hand-made guillochage:
Van Cleef & Arpels was a very good surprise of the Salon thanks to its impressive Planetarium:
And the very charming and clever Pierre Arpels Heure d'Ici & Heure d'ailleurs which offers us a simple way to display two timezones.
Obviously, Cartier was once again the most creative brand of the Salon with a very comprehensive set of new complications.
Let's have a look on some watches.
This Rotonde Astrocalendaire features a new mechanical way to develop a PC caliber:
The Rotonde Terre et Lune has a moonphase indicator which works... on demand. An unusual way to play with the Tourbillon.
The Tourbillon Ballon Bleu is available with a smaller size (good news!):
This Tank Louis Cartier Sapphire Skeleton is maybe my fav Cartier watch of the year. Elegant, refined with a very contemporary movement. A superb watch.
The Ballon Bleu gets a thinner case:
Another beauty, the Rotonde Day and Night with a retrograde moonphase display:
This Rotonde Tourbilon Chronograph with a power reserve of 8 days is powered by a Renaud & Papi movement.
The star of the show was without any doubt the Calibre Diver watch. I was seduced by this watch which takes advantage of the powerful design of the Calibre and of the skills and expertise of the Manufacture. It is very complicated to manage to create a successful diving watch.
And I don't forget the Metiers d'Art... Cartier unveiled some beautiful surprises with unusual decoration techniques:
That's all for today!
Stay tuned!
