Girard Perregaux Perpetual Calendar Chronograph F 50 Ref 9025 in titanium.
I recently had the opportunity to see this perpetual calendar chronograph I discovered some 15 years ago.
41 mm titanium case, domed sapphire, complete perpetual calendar at the exception of the leap year I don't see.
A particularity: The hour time on 24 hours is located in the subdial at 3 o clock. The chronograph times the minutes ( 30 ) and the hours ( 12 ).
The indices are tritium, as well as the hands, which developed a nice warm patina.
The pushers are mushroom shaped.
The movement is the Cal 3170 which I believe it is 100 % in house, automatic, with a power reserve of 42 hours.
And the solid case back tells the story behind this watch: " Specially manufactured for Ferrari 50th birthday ".
What I didn't get is that there was a limited edition of 250 pieces in titanium ( white gold and platinum versions were also available ), while this one is limited to 349 pieces.
Anyway, this is a quite pleasant watch, for those who are in the hunt for a sporty but yet elegant perpetual chronograph. The dial is busy, yes, but quite appealing.
And superbly comfortable to wear.
It is always good to see some old loves, after such a long time!
Best,
Nicolas
