HELP: patrimony Contemporaine Date self-winding

Dear all,

I am new to this exciting forum! I was hoping if other VC owners in the forum could give me some advices.

I have recently purchased my first VC watch. It is a Patrimony Contemporaine Date self-winding (85180/000G-9230) from an authorised VC retailer. It is an absolutely stunning watch, however i have a query that neither the retailer or Richmont service centre could give a definitive answer.

In the multimedia animation instructions of use in the USB stick that came with the watch, demonstrates that to adjust date independent of time (first position when the crown is pulled out), the crown is to be turned clockwise. However, with my watch, the date can only be adjusted with the crown going in anti-clockwise fashion (not in the clockwise fashion). This is exactly opposite to what the instruction manual says (and seem to be counter-intuitive to me as well).

I am not sure if VC made a mistake when they made the instructions of use, or is there a particular problem with my watch? Local service centre is telling that's how the date is changed on VC watches (opposite to what the instructions says???)

Any advice or comments will be very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Regards

David
