How does this happen?

Dear Forum,

I came across the enclosed picture while doing an internet search for the Roberto Mancini RM-011. Notice the missing bezel screw at 5 o'clock. How does something like this happen? The watch certainly doesn't look abused in any way. Is this a quality control issue? Did the screw somehow get stripped or was never correctly inserted into the bezel? I understand that we cannot expect perfection from these wonderful mechanical creations, but when you are paying $150K+ for a timepiece your tolerance for these types of issues diminishes significantly. Or as my wife put it, "I'd expect this to happen on an Invicta I bought at Costco". Ouch.

I have great admiration for RM and I'm even considering adding my first to the collection. However, I have to admit I find this a little disconcerting. Anyone have a reasonable explanation that will put my mind back at ease?

Best regards,

NickO
