I just pulled the trigger on the Urwerk 103.03 in WG!!! ...
I was stressing over whether to get a RG or WG; and appreciate all of your comments to my posting below. The RG is in stock, and the WG is on order. The question was: can I wait. I'm not real good with delayed gratification. While both metals are great, I decided to go with WG--in part because my Freak and one of my RM 005's are RG. The dealer says my name is on the first (next) WG to arrive (they sold out right away)--and it should be in the next couple of weeks. I haven't seen the watch in any metal--so this is a real impulse buy. But I think the WG its going to give me smiles for years to come based on Ian's review of the 103.03, and my penchant for concept watches--and this one is relatively affordable.
As you know, the genious behind the 103.03 is one and the same for the Opus V--which is not within my budget. Frankly, without regard to cost, I think I prefer the 103.03 for a piece that will see real wristime.
The buzz is when the Opus V hits the market, Urwerk's 103.03 will benefit for buyers of a of "concept" watch created by the same people. So, it seems, given anticipated price increases and VERY limited production and availability (especially after the release of the Opus V, the time is NOW to pull the trigger, and so I did.
I'll post pictures when the lucky day arrives.
