I saw the IWC Vintage Ingenieur in PLATINUM the other day
And while I find the steel version nice... the platinum was just fantastic!!! The overall impact of the platinum, (a thick watch) and the detail of the simple dial... Oh, I wanted to get it... but... I want ten others too!
Anyway, this watch is rarely discussed so.... thought I'd mention it is really, really, really NICE.
Tiny details seem to change the whole watch--for instance, the lume dots on the black dial appear lime green, but they are white on the plat dial. The minute markers just dazzle the eyes on the plat version, and do not seem to have the impact on the steel black dial. I could go on...
Attached is a terrible pic that does not convey the watch at all, just for reference.
When one of these comes up used.... I will nab it.
