Information on PP Certificate of Origin
I never sold my Patek before, until now to some extent I am thinking about it to fund more advanced pieces. My Pateks carry the Certificate of Origins completed with my name and home address. I feel rather uncomfortable to have my name and address shown on the certificate when I sell the watch to the second-hand watch shop. And I also don't wish that my personal details would be passed down from one future owner to another. Do patek owners here just go ahead to sell with your info on the cert? As far as I know it is compulsory for ADs to fill in the owner's name (and address as well?) on the PP Certificate of Origin? or how do you fans do it?
Sorry that the above question may sound stupid to those who are experienced in trading PPs. Let me here your experience and comment on the above. Thanks to all.
Be careful with the Cert

Obviously, it depends on the cost and model of the watch. However, most collectors insist on Certificate of Origin for more expensive recent watches - 5050/ 5970/etc. They would surely be miffed if there was no Certificate and would pay far less...un fact...
Thanks. RKDANIEL

Yes I heard that most collectors or the secondhand watch shop will pay less if you don't produce the certificate. So is there anyone here who happened to have your name and full address filled in the certificate and then sold the watch to others?
I don't see the problem

The buyer is going to know your name and address anyway, right? You will probably have a conversation or two to feel confortable about the transaction. And if and when the buyer re-sells, it will be to someone paying the money for a Patek, right? Frankly,...
