Just picked up this beauty...

Its been a 3+ year hiatus that I have taken from Panerai.  The power of the design is just too much to resist for me.  If you had to ask me which watches, as a whole, I think are the most attractive design wise to me - I'd have to say Panerai.  Simple, sleek some of them - tool and function in others.  I think you just need to master not getting blinded by each new dial tweak or strap change the manufacture does. 

In any case.....I saw this watch on a friends wrist at a formal function (guy only wears panerais no matter how hard I've been trying to teach him otherwise) - in anycase - he was wearing a browish suit and with a 339 on his wrist - it just looked great. 

I had to have one!  First time I've ever paid of retail for a watch ever.  If the design just speaks to you, I guess its ok.....well, maybe I'm justifying my lunacy here, but I am very pleased.  

 

So - what goes with this piece well - I'm thinking a 127 and a 249.  Any suggestions?
