lucky to see these two new Jaeger LeCoultre ultra thin watches in metal today....

 

usually we need to wait the post SIHH event that hosts in April each year to see the SIHH watches, this year i was so lucky to see this year's pieces early when i dropped by the boutique today.

these two pieces are the master ultra thin 1907 and the grande reverso 1931 chocolate dial. my first impression on these pieces was "WOW" when seeing them.

of course, i had a chance to try one of them, reverso on my wrist. it is no doubt a very nice looking watch from the press release pics and now in metal. the dial color is yummy which means i wanted to swallow it into stomach so that first i can understand its real taste. the entire appearance of this watch is stunning and matching so well from the chocolate dial color, the rose gold case, and to strap. the strap is very soft for comfortably wearing. comparing with the first 1931 black dial which i have, the major difference is on the dial as this new one has a sub-dial for second hand which is although it makes the dial slightly busy, it makes less empty feel at the same time. as the size is the same as the previous one, i have no problem to wear it for my small wrist.

for the 1907 one, although i did not have chance to try it on wrist, it looks very appealing to me.

funny thing was that i was asking myself if i need to decide to get one of these two, which one i will go for!? it is a difficult question indeed. in my collection, i am already owning both ultra thin round and rectangular watches, but they are previous models. if i would add either one of them, it seems a bit redundant. however the question needs to be answered since i asked myself this question. the verdict would be the 1907. not so sure why, but at the first sight, the 1907 appeals to me more. it is not due to the price issue. in fact, i asked about the price of these two watches, in fact they are very closed. so from the price point, it is not the question any more. anyway, i am happy to see these two new watches in metal earlier than usually time.
