Master Eight Days Perpetual Has Arrived!!
So I just picked up my new stainless steel Master Eight Days Perpetual from an AD in Chicago . . . reserved it six months ago on a whim and it finally got here! At first I was concerned that the 40mm size would be a bit diminutive but due to the narrow bezel, I think, the case has a larger appearance.
The watch is very understated in my opinion. Almost reminds me of the stealth Lange One, platinum with silver dial, if you know what I mean. At first I thought it might look better on a dark navy blue matte alligator strap, but now I am thinking that the black strap it comes with actually makes the watch look classier. Does anyone know if the sky on which the moon phase sits on the dial is blue or black? The more I look at it, it appears to be black, which would be a first for me since all other skies in moon phase watches seem to be blue or dark blue.
Anyway, I am quite please with the watch and will post some photos when I have an opportunity.
What are the early opinions on this watch now that it finally seems to be hitting the retailers?
Cheers,
RDS in Chicago

to all of you who have confirmed my opinions concerning the watch. It was a significant investment which I committed to sight unseen, before ever holding the watch, around six months ago. The photos shown to me sold me on committing to it. Very elegant wa...

I saw it in the metal the other day in the JLC boutique at Harrods. It is a very understated watch. The size is just right and even my ageing eyes can read the dial quite easily. It is reasonably priced. According to the sales lady, it is very popular and...
