Time is what you make of it. Lifetime is inextricably linked with what we do, what we create and what we experience. Challenges must be accepted and opportunities seized. And no time must be wasted in doing so! However, true innovation and new ideas also need time to mature. Persistence is needed to keep at it and not give in to the many obstacles. Courage too, to walk unconventional paths on occasions. A perfect example for this is the work of Hans Georg Raschbichler who leaded the development of the Transrapid for over thirty years.

Hans Georg Raschbichler has developed and constructed the Transrapid for over thirty years. The Transrapid is the first commercial magnetic levitation railway which uses magnetic attraction to maintain the balance of the train. With speeds of 430 km/h, the Shanghai Maglev Train takes only 7 minutes from Pudong International Airport to the Shanghai banking center.
