My first Patek and still in disbelief
Never thought I'd have ever got a Patek growing up when looking at the ads on magazines. This was especially true for the Nautilus. I told myself "That's for old people. What's good about it ???" Well, fast forward many years later.......Lo and behold, I am eating my own words as I speak.
I had a chance to see a white 5711 about an year ago and thought it's ain't too shabby in person(still tried not to admit I actually liked it)... So, under cover, I began to look at some 5711 reviews and videos as well as reading all 5711 posts on this forum....Within no time, I knew I caught the Nautilus bug and there is no cure for it. It came down to how long before I can actually get it as I knew blue is the one for me. Of course, seeing the wonderful photos of 5711 on this site just kills me while waiting, especially those posted by Watchholic_id.
With some great miracle and thanks to my AD, the watch came exactly 4 weeks after I put down my deposit. I was speechless when I picked up the watch and am still completely mesmerized by the various blue/grey shades of the watch under different lighting. The watch is light for a bracelet watch and is extremely comfortable to wear.
I feel very lucky to own this watch as my first Patek. I also learned that I am one of the "old people" now and not to judge too quickly....Never say never!!
Wish I have good photography skills like Watchholic_id, but this is the best I can do to share my joy..
