My newest... Gilt Dial 1016.
Folks,
My first rolex was a 14270 purchased from my local AD back in Canada sometime in 1999... but alas I no longer have my 'first'. Still, I've been a huge fan of the Explorer 3-6-9 because of it's purity and historic place in Rolex lore. So recently, I've been gunning for a vintage explorer... perhaps a 6610 or a 1016 gilt dial. And to my good fortune, I was able to acquire a lovely Rolex Explorer 1016 gilt dial underline. The mirror dial is flawless. Bazinga.

These Explorers are, to me...
.....one of ...if not the.....most charming Rolex to wear. The vintage nature gives them such character, yet the nature of the Explorer 1 and its heritage makes it uber cool. Just love your watch
