Mysteries 23/25 2004 with Dufour as seen thru a Canon 1Ds Bernard Cheong

 

With the passing of my VERY dear friend Rolf Schynder, I won't begin with dwelling on sadness, but on remembrance of many who are still with us. Good men who have helped me MORE than I have them...Rolf being number 1.

First...Philippe Dufour, just after I completed this book which I ( in hind sight..correctly decided) to publish when the independents and the brands have grown into together...these were my own visions before 2004:

Least we forget, artists were also salesmen in their time...often making paintings in their backyard with apprentices and signing them.

Watchmakers will and are having their time now..and it is really good to be a part of them.

I waited 7 years before releasing most of these pictures...I will wait longer before they are released in paper with a 7 color process..as you can see..the pictures were taken to illustrate that they age well with time..and that the watches made are aging better.

Wait till you see what I did for IWC, UN and Vianney Halter aged FROM 2004 and unopened still...ahh..the taste and the finish.

But most of all..least we forget...the people that they once were and some are no longer with us.

 These pictures illustrate that KNOWING who and which team, what they were as HUMAN beings are critical to the values of the watch...like we know the painters! A watch should not be anonymous.
