New, but Old GS.....
A bit rare pieces got into my hand, luckily...
One belongs to a good friend of mine. Another is for myself..... Had them both serviced and regulated by the God 
1. 56GS --- a gentleman's property.
TV Shape is not something you see often....
Just lightly polished but edge is still edgy.
Beautifully finished case...
Got the correct vintage buckle....
Brand new GS leather strap.
Unique dial, a bit less legible, maybe, but beautifully done. See the "logo" under "Hi-Beat"?
Just right for my small wrist....
Lastly, but not least, this is what the vintage GS can do.

domes are very cool
Both are very nice designs, but the FIRST ss GS is amazing! I really love that domed crystal shape on top of the very simple sunburst dial.
I like that too, but the tonneau shape is more appealing to me

Grand Seiko Tonneau TV case watch
Grand Seiko Ref: 5645-5010 is simple gorgeous and rare. The dial is unique, as is the case shape and superb timekeeping. How many did they make of this model? Of course, I may have to commission you to look for weird Grand Seiko like this for me in Japan....
I really don't see this in the market, perhaps one per few year....

It's really commercial thing...
.. I think all the modern Swiss or Japanese watch of certain level CAN be adjusted to this high level. But it takes time and skill. Commercially, it may not make sense to do that on each one. But I agree, if the watch (a simple three hands watch) cost 10s...

.. timegrapher like this, quite honestly. Accuracy is NOT everything, but at least in that department and classic design of those two make them stand out, as more than 40 years old watches. Ken
