NWA today. The one with THAT BLUE bezel.

 

After thinking about this one for 2 years, and seeing recent posts of it here, I decided that I was ready for some WG on my wrist.
I love the hefty feel of an all-gold watch and this time, I wanted to go as stealth as one can be with a WG Rolex (if that is possible). Ha!

I like the look of this easy-to-read, 3-hand diver’s watch with a black dial. In some watches, like this one, their beauty lies in their simplicity.
And while I am not a fan of date windows, for some strange reason the date window on this one doesn’t bother me.
Maybe I am seeing the Cyclops and not the date. Ha ha!

Aaaah, but it’s that BLUE BEZEL that makes this watch!! The color is truly amazing to see in person and in different lighting. 
It’s a joy to see the striking contrast of that beautiful blue bezel against that simple Sub black dial on the oh-so-slight yellowish tint of WG.
It’s superb. My Cookie Monster says “Hello” to your Subs.

Besides looking great, I think it's the idea (or madness) of getting a Rolex sub that costs lots $$$$$$ more than the SS, and looks basically the same. Of couse, those in the know recognize that blue bezel, which makes it a WG Cookie Monster. I think the ...

As we always hear and say here and other forums, we want understatement for the masses and exclusivity for the once in the know… Well, this is exactly that… To me it’s still hard to swallow that a gold watch has exactly the same capabilities as its steel ...

Should be nice to feel the heft of gold on the wrist with this beautiful blue bezeled dive watch. Definitely an interesting and rare sub. Enjoy.
