Hi All,
I just had the opportunity to see the Patek 5270G at the Geneva Boutique and fell in love with it instantly. Just perfect for a person like me with exceptionally large wrists and any watch below 41mm looks like a ladies watch or a younger brothers time piece. It is a big investment as it retails for a quiet a sum but keeping in mind that choices in Perpetual Calendar and chrono with such large case size does not exist . The 5970 is discontinued and the same is a smaller size. What is your take on it? Though i have already put my name on the list and will get it as i personally feel being the first in inhouse patek movement it will be a collectible piece and my target is to use it as a daily wear watch.

I hope to see it in another metal and eventually with a black dial and perhaps Breguet numerals. It might be worthwhile to try on a 5970 for comparison though, just to be sure; it's discontinued but generally available. A very safe choice in the 5270 I th...

no worries about that. Possibly to "wait" for the platinum version would be here an advice but if you can afford the WG version, you will also ... Regards Moritz

Has PP's perpetual calender chronograph every failed? - I like the 5270 - it's far less busy than the 5970 and 3970 and the in-house caliber will be on another planet to the Lemania (as I've experienced in 5170 VS 5070). I'm just waiting for them to relea...

Just remember the Rolex Chronos with the outmarket ebauches are worth far more then the in house calibers made since the 2000s. New does not necessarily mean better in terms of performance or investment.
