Polaris 68 E859 info
Dear guys, I need your help!
I can(if I'm lucky) get my hands on a Jaeger-Lecoultre Polaris from 1968.
It is the European version, marked 'Jaeger leCoultre' on the dial, without the word 'Memovox'.
The only thing I do not understand is that the movement(Cal. 825) is marked 'LeCoultreCo' and it is unadjusted.
Can it be that the movement is not original, I thought that movements for the American merket were marked this way.
I hope somebody can help me!

Lecoultre dial = Lecoultre Movement
Jaeger Lecoultre dial=Jaeger Lecoultre movement. As a lot of Cal 825 were made, it wouldn't surprise me that it was changed, hence the mismatch. Do you have the movement number, by the way? Just curious. Best, Nicolas

First, the bezel looks too narrow, to me. Then, may youn post better pics, macros also, of the dial, and the case back. Best, Nicolas
What is important is the movement number,
And yours was made in 1968, so, the good period for a Polaris. The only ting is that your Polaris Jaeger Lecoultre should be signed Jaeger Lecoultre. Best, Nicolas

Caution...
The internal bezel looks wrong to me and the movement should be JLC. I would suggest caution before proceeding on this martes. Cheers David

Not sure about the dial and movement issue but the inner bezel is wrong. Maybe it is possible for you shooting to JLC and ask if they have spare parts before you confirm. If the price is right without an inner bezel and JLC could replace, I would consider...
