This one has always seemed to elicit strong opinions. Whereas the Kermit before it seemed (at least to me) to find widespread appreciation the Hulk not so much.
Too green? In certain light, yes. But I think Rolex did a good job with the Hulk because much of the time the dial appears far darker than the sunburst green many of us tend to capture and post pictures of.
Still too green? Maybe, if it’s the only watch you have or perhaps you want / need it to be a daily watch. When the sun / light hits it right it can be a little loud.
But it’s the best St Patrick’s Day watch I know of!!!

From the people that I’m around, and what I see on IG, the Hulk has a larger appreciation than Kermit. I think they are both nice, but I own a Hulk, and I think it’s fantastic. Maybe it’s confirmation bias that I’m being influenced by,

What, in your opinion, distinguishes a “hypebeast” watch from one with genuine, organic appreciation?
Not a fan of green watches and I find that colorful watches are rarely great as daily wearers.....

and other than B&W phtography color is a major component of Art. I've always been attracted to colorful dials, usually blue but green is the signature color of Rolex and a black Sub is SO common! The Kermit is nice but with the Hulk you get the modern...
I purposely didn’t make the point about green being the signature colour, as I know many will argue that the Hulk green is not the Rolex green.
But I do think that’s part of the charm, as it was with the Kermit. And as you point out, the changing colour \ hue of the dial is something that is very appealing.

I had a hard time with the “Hulk” when released , did not know where to put it so I hesitated so much that I missed out on the first glossy dial edition .
I finally gave it a try , bought it last year , and I’m finding myself wearing it quite a lot as a daily, specialty in the summer . I find it unique and fun to wear. But still hunting for the original glossy dial ...

Yes the first couple of batches , were equipped with glossy dials . Unfortunately I don’t have pictures of those examples since at the time as I mentioned I had no interest in the Hulk but they do exit.
It was conformed to me by two AD’s and also by a Rolex rep. at a Rolex event . Those dials were called gold dials , since to achieve the green color a high amount of gold was mixed in to the color to achieve the right color hue ...To further excite you , ...
