Rain soaked Melbourne F1 Grand Prix

 

Melbourne had four seasons in one day for the first qualifying session of the F1 GP around Albert Park Lake. These images are taken from the Schumacher stand overlooking the final two corners before pit straight.

There was a dry afternoon practice session but qualifying was delayed by 30 minutes and then cut short by torrential rain. Optimistic track officials tried to sweep water off the corners. Qualifying 2 and 3 was rescheduled for 11am Sunday, only 6 hours before the race.

Better weather is forecast for the race which is due to start in less than 2 hours time. Good luck to Mark Webber!

a couple of times in a small night club in Helsinki. He's really not a rocket scientist but probably can drive the car. This year we have 2.5 Finns in Formula Ones. Nico Rosberg is the half: he is having Finnish passport but he's competing with German lic...

Actually i'm quite lucky ... he once walked away with my brand new Hugo Boss shoes but they recovered quite good from the experience :-) ... as i always walk barefeet or just wear socks in the house my shoes are stored away and in our living room we have ...

St. Bernhard is a very different dog. When growing, they have to rest a lot; I would guess 22 h every day. And when it's time to wake up, some 5 minutes are needed to consider weather to stand up or not. But when that +60 kg puppy is getting excited, the ...
