Remontoire Movement: The original and the wristwatch

When I picked up my Remontoire 1941 from Grönefeld, I got the possibility to see the original remontoire movement in the church of Oldenzaal, that gave them the idea for this watch. It was interesting to see and hear, how these in size very different movements are related to each other and what's the story behind them.

It's really a great experience to meet Bart and Tim in Oldenzaal and I heavily recommend everyone, who's buying a remontoire 1941, to go there when you order the watch or pick it up (or both smile

If you can't, the movement of the remontoire 1941 is of course a marvel on its own. It's a very open and technical movement, but at the same time very beautiful with the circular arranged bridges. And it's got its own language. Not the usual cotes de geneve. Hard to capture on a picture, though.
