Kudoke 2-Help needed
After much deliberation, I’m very seriously considering committing to a Kudoke 2 as my first foray into the world of independent watches. I love the design. I missed the boat on the Gronefeld remontoire, and even though there may be some for sale at ADs, I would have wanted to customize it myself. At least now, I’ll be saving 50,000 dollars!
Kudoke has been very receptive to my inquiries about customization. If I had gotten a Gronefeld, I would have done a guilloche dial, likely light blue.
I think a guilloche would look very interesting for the Kudoke 2, and apparently, many clients have been inquiring about it. They say that they can do it. They can also make the dial color whatever I’d like. Now the question is what guilloche pattern, and what dial color?
Any suggestions?

Its something very personal. Best way to see as many guilloche options and colors as possible before you decide what to order . Looking forward to see your choice

I do think a light blue dial could work well for this watch. Will need to play with photoshop.
I don’t think
Anyone would argue that the complexity of the finishing on a Gronefeld surpasses that of Kudoke.

I just wondered how there could be a choice between Gronefeld and Kudoke. Two different watches from a finish and tech aspect.

Watches that I’m interested in. I’m not making a comparison between them at all.
I would recommend looking at pocketwatches by Breguet, Daniels and Pratt to get a sense of the classic patterns, then google image search Kari's watches and see a few other ideas.
I've also looked at various geometric patterns, there are even books of them for the slightly obsessed (yes, I bought one). However, keep in mind that some patterns would require careful hand engraving rather than a combination of rose and straight-line e...

Have you decided how the day/night will be? Monotone or two tone?
This will influence dial colour too. I think a subtle colour would look good on the Watch overall, but you also need to consider how the colour will present the guilloche pattern you choose. There is some work to do there as I think the same patterns can ...
