Reverso Squadra World Chronograph - yes or no?
Hi to all, I have been a JLC brand fan for a long time, once owned Reverso Tourbillon, Reverso Dual time & Geographic. Currently owned Grand Reverso 976, AMVOX 2, and Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph. Recently I came across the beautifully crafted Reverso Squadra World Chronograph with the big date calendar display.
Welcome anyone to provide me with views on the above stated watch versus the Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph I owned. Personally, the two watches shared similarity in displaying world time and chronograph function. I am tossing my dice as to whether I should acquire the Squadra version as well, but the price is slightly on the high side for me to get both. Should I be happy with the MCEWC or get a Reverso version?
BR, Ian

I would stick with the EWC
By: respo : May 10th, 2011-08:14
That Reverso is a beauty for sure, but I don't think it surpasses the EWC in any way. They are very similr watches in many ways, and they both have the cal. 75X family of chrono movements inside, which is a very good thing. The EWC will give you the versa...
EWC

Thanks for your input, totally agreed, the EWC is excellent for sporting activities, the lockdown mechanism on the chrono buttons & main button are faultless, the best of its kind, simple & direct. I've tried the Squadra & the size is fine for me. My only...
Hi, Ian,....

The 2 watches are "2 sides of the same coin," if you will. I love both, but the Squadra is NOT a water watch. It can take the accidental plunge, but it's not designed for "prolonged water use." That said, the Reverso Squadra World Chrono is an amazing mov...
Squadra Big & Thick
By: Watches4ever : May 10th, 2011-19:45
The Squadra World Chronograph is the biggest & thickest watch on the line. For someone who like big, bold watches, then this is the one for you. After receiving so many comments, the reason I went for the EWC is because I get to see the world time at a gl...
