SBGR305 Buckle Problem
Hello,
Last night, I got a problem with my new SBGR305. Suddenly, the pin on the buckle which attached the deployant to the leather strap suddenly give way.
Below are the pictures.
It appears to me that the soldering of the pin to the buckle was poorly down and thus it gave way. I tried to "screw" the pin back to the hole but could not. It doesn't seems to be a screw but the whole pin has detached from it.
I wonder if this is a common problem and has anyone experienced this? Will Seiko replace the buckle free of charge? I just bought this watch so it's new under warranty.
I plan to bring it to Seiko to hopefully they will replaced or fix it free of charge under warranty.

As you just bought it, I think you'll have no problem with Seiko to solve this problem free of charge
I never experienced such a problem but I think only a full replacement of the buckle is possible (no glue or something else as the part has probably snapped right off). Keep us informed and sorry for you as I fully understand that when you have a new time...
Probably a simple fix....
Need a wooden hammer to reattached it.... Perhaps, some glue like epoxy beforehand tho... Because it's just came off, and surprisingly the way it was attached is just put it in then hammer the rim of the pin which I find rather unusual (and flimsy), Oh we...

I will send it in for repair / replacement. This will be a good test to see if Seiko standby their products.

From one of the Seiko agent. They said that buckle is not covered under warranty! So I am expected to pay for a new buckle! This is despite the fact that I bought the watch less than 2 weeks ago brand new and it is still under warranty. That's really disa...

When a brand says warranty - does it cover only the movement rather the whole watch itself including strap, bracelet, buckles, etc.? When one buys a car and its say 3 years warranty or 20k miles, does it cover the engine or the whole thing? Agree on your ...
