Seiko SUS - or where the renaissance began 🇯🇵
Looking at it nowadays it doesn’t sound like the clarion call to resuscitate mechanical watch making in Japan but with a GS movement from the 1970s and a design tested to appeal to the Japanese youth of the day that’s what it was. Together with the somewhat better known black dial brother (SCFF001 vs. SCFF003 for the silver dial one) they started off the SUS line.
And still a lovely - even if somewhat small wearing - piece today ⚖️

Relevant yet nowadays almost forgotten 🤷🏻♂️
With it being a JDM only model and produced for a short while a long time ago it never got the popularity it would have had had it been made by a Swiss brand 😉 On the bright side they are still reasonably priced, even if it will most likely take you ages ...
They did things a bit differently in the 1990s 😁
The case came pre-stressed (akin to stone washed jeans), so some dings came with it new and no two were completely the same. And the lumed hands are still like a torch almost 30 years later 😁🦾
