Spotted: DUBs, V-Dubs & Darts, Part 2
Sorry gents, I missed offloading some images yesterday, and after some fiddling around found them in the camera card.
Adding those to the cars seen on a quick trip out this morning, I hope we have enough to distract you for 10 minutes or so...
Starting with DUBs, we saw plenty, starting with this nice gold El Camino
then we came to the end of a cul-de-sac and found three cars all with similar wheels. Perhaps the same owner?
Moving along, here's a perfectly nice little Bug with bigger (but reasonable) tires and mild rat rod look (front vent windows removed, etc)
If you recall, I spotted this early Dodge Charger and commented on the Jeepster Wagon under the tent.

Here is a close-up of the Jeep that disappeared yesterday - it appears that the driveline of the Jeep has evaporated too - the wheels are simply leaning against the fenderwells as there are no axles under the car.
This mini-truck has a substantial roll bar, on the outside. It looks like it may have rolled before the cage was mounted on it...

while this beautiful early Ranchero has obviously never rolled.

I think that's a Ford Galaxie 500 next to it. These cars are from about 1965, or over 50 years old.

While we are on a Ford kick, let's throw in this lovely Bullitt Mustang fastback ...

We passed this 1961-63 Falcon

and then realized we were outside the Early Ford V8 Club warehouse and garage:

It looked full of surprises but we were scheduled across town and we didn't stop. Some other time, perhaps.

Let's change marques and get over to General Motors. This Trans-Am is the car I missed last night, and led me to the detective hunt for more photos. I recall that these blue wheels were part of the 30th Anniversay special WS6 package in 1999. Can anyone confirm my memory?

A trio of GMC pickups appeared next.
Cheers,
Cazalea
