Can I encourage all of you to start threads, no matter how trivial? There must be some horological question that has been nagging you and you never felt comfortable to ask.
You know the old saying, attributed to everyone from Albert Einstein to Abraham Lincoln: “There are no stupid questions, except, possibly, those not asked.” Well, that may not be entirely true, but Purists will always give you the benefit of the doubt! 
So ask away, and you will feel a weight lifted from your mind – particularly if no one knows the answer either!

They're coming...
...as we discussed...but between the difficulty of keeping them to the high standards this place has established, and trying to stop them expanding into unamanagable proportions...it's slower than I wished.
Quality over quantity is the PuristS way
No hurry my friend. I appreciate that Purists are thinking about topics close to their hearts to discuss. And there is certainly no rush. Those of us who hang around here too much get to know the pace of the forums and when to jump in. And certain themes ...
