Sweet Simplicity

OK, first of all -- just to be clear -- this is not my watch.  So, no hate mail about my string of recent acquisitions, please (PPlater, this means you ).

All right -- with that out of the way -- a few images of a very nice piece owned by a Gentleman Purist, as we say in these parts.  He was kind enough to allow me to photograph it  -- although I should note that he is holding the Antiqua as collateral...

Just as lovely as everyone says, in my opinion now that I have had a chance to handle and photograph it.

Unfortunately I was unable to stop the movement, so was a bit limited in what I was able to do with depth of field and watch positioning -- even with the tilt/shift lens.  Like most watches with grey faces, this one is not at all easy to photograph from the front.  The movement side, with its legendary finishing, is much easier to capture.

Hope you enjoy these one-tenth as much as I enjoyed taking them!
