The "go-to" Rolex
Decisions decisions. I am going out. Possible that I will be in an area where I won't want to have a distinctive watch on my wrist......possible that I may be swimming later....possible that I will meet a business colleague later....possible that i will be using the underground trains...possible...possibles.... and I need to choose a watch. 9 times out of 10, the same Rolex goes on my wrist....
I love my Explorer 1. I love it for so many reasons. It is a totally unremarkable watch. That may sound like a very counter-intuitive reason to like it so much, but actually it is this under-stated characteristic that makes it so versatile. It has a bullet-proof movement. It has a bullet-proof case. With a sturdy steel bracelet, it can be worn in virtually any situation.
When I haven't got time to ponder which watch I need, this is the one that I go to.
Anybody else have a similar "go-to" watch?

It sounds like you just need to persevere longer
...and she will move to owning a second watch. And we know what happens after 2....... Interesting dilemma..... appreciating the first watch is a major achievement. But that leap to the second watch....that is the dam-breaker! Persist, my friend!
