The Urwerk UR-210 is launched in Singapore

Felix Baumgartner was in Singapore last week to launch the UR-210, the latest iteration of the satellite cubes concept pioneered by the HW Opus 5.

The venue was Jaan at Swissotel Stamford, the tallest hotel in Singapore. Inevitably that led to some jokes about Felix jumping out the window, though he doesn't have a Zenith on his wrist.

As expected the reaction to the UR-210 from Urwerk fans was positive. It develops the satellite cubes concept further, primarily with the addition of a large, but lightweight, retrograde hand, as well as an activity indicator.

The case is more angular and sculpted than its predecessors, and slightly reminiscent of a Lamborghini.

I look forward to 2013 and to what Felix has in store.
