This Grand Seiko has an amazing dial (in my humble opinion.)
It’s a Hi Beat GMT which was made as a limited edition for the Australian market; I purchased it out of Japan. Grand Seiko makes some of the most beautiful dials around. This dial is a green/blue with a lot of depth and is much deeper and better in the flesh than in these photos. It’s reminiscent of the dark reddish bamboo floor type dial on the SBGH269. In different light it looks almost black. Very chameleon like.
Sorry for the poor lighting but tough to catch the beautiful striations without lots of light.
This watch has been nicknamed “The Matrix.”

I would choose this or the red one over Godzilla (my buddy wouldn’t he bought the Zilla) with the high beat movement…🤪😝
