Saturday I got to enjoy a friend's lovely platinum DB15. I had not had the pleasure previously to see one of these QP's in the flesh.
Pictures only tell one part of the story when looking at a watch, and so having now handled it, looked at the movement through a loop, worn it for 5 minutes, I now have an enormous appreciation fro the work done by the team at DeBethune.
Having owned a GO Senator Perpetual several years ago, I felt that that watch was one of, if not the most, legible perpetual calendar watches made. Windows for the day, month and the fantastic double digit non-interstitial bar, big date made for a clean look and a practical daily wearer.
This DB15 is similar in clarity, but has much more character and elegance, not to mention the 3D spherical moon. So rather than waffle on about what a splendid watch this is, I'll let the pictures hopefully reveal the traits I love so much about it.
