Came across this previous gen BB Blue, NIB with stickers still on, in a random walk around small shops yesterday. Based on my vague memory of trying current gen BB quite a while ago, this previous gen seems to be less thick and tall, which is, to my wrist, more comfortable (now become my top priority to buy a watch to wear). With the further "encouragement" from its rose emblem and smiley text (who can resist?), I started to negotiate on the price with the shop keeper, and finally agreed one which is happy to both of us.

I like the vintage style strap, which doesn't require break-in time and reduce the overall weight of the watch. It has a nice color and texture to look at too. The only concern is from the upcoming hot and humid summer in Hong Kong. I may by then switch to the nato strap which came together with the watch. I will update on the perfomance of the watch after few days of wear.

Old gen still has its own charms. Despite the new gen with in-house movement.

Longer power reserve, greater resistance to shock and magnetism etc. But its bulky (relatively) case and shield logo are stopping me from buying one

Yes save the strap and put a Nato. Not necessarily the one in the box, but any other you will find in the market.

Even if from memory, the Nato for this BB is 21 mm large... Which is not a common size. Congratulations, this is a very nice catch. Enjoy, Nicolas

Cool, then. 22 mm is easy to find. You have a large choice of Natos. Go for a basic one for all summer activities, and for a nicer one, in Canvas. [nt]

the “rose edition” with the eta movement, in my opinion is better as it is thinner. I find the supplied nato strap to be of a great quality- I use it swimming and it behaves greatly. The leather band, on the other hand could be of a better quality. Enjoy ...
