Two guys ....
walked into a Lange AD. One had his sights set on acquiring his first Lange. The other provided support and was the instigator. The AD had a very good selection in stock and after checking out a few including the new 1815 up/down, Grand Lange 1, double split etc. it whittled down to these four for a final decision.
From
left to right: Datograph Pt. up/down, Timezone Pt, G. Lange Pt., Richard Lange PLM in RG.
It then came down to two and without too much hesitation the final choice was made. It was a clear winner for him as he was fond of chronos and the Datograph had it all!
I thought I'd share this joyous event with you here. 
Which one would you have chosen?

Actually the TZ was the original choice but the Dato won out in the end. Its not bad for a first. I'm sure there'll be others. :) Best fernando

looking at it too Mo. Such a beautiful enamel dial and the gorgeous backside with the fusee and chain. However, when placed next to 3 platinum pieces, it just somehow came up short in the metals department. In pt. it would have been the clear winner irres...

as for the Double Split - which should share the starring role here -
I wear - and use it - a couple of times each week for cooking, working out, and timing myself over the undefined stretches of my city. Can it take it? Sure .. Purrrr !!! My suggestion, if not for the first time, is to go out - or stay in - and actually us...

You are absolutely right to say that the DS is a joy, under any circumstance. This makes it for me at the moment also better bearable not to own it, but knowing that such a fascinating thing is there, somewhere out there. Also to come with people like you...

We should include the DS. :) Side by side you can see the difference. It's noticeably bigger. I am quite happy to live with it though. :) cheers fernando ...

The Dato is a seminal piece , even for Lange ! Would have made the very same choice ! Easy choice ! Congrats to your buddy !

and would be my recommendation as well together with the TZ but for a chrono lover the Dato proved irresistible. :)

as Fernando thinks.....I should get the grand lange 1, TZ and also dato....thus why not get all 3?? one can see what kind of "friend" he is......

The size of the DS is fine; but dato more "friendly" for day to day use moreover, if i get the DS, then there will be nothing left for me to persue in addition, i was told that i could be the next owner of fernando's DS!

I love this watch, I love the dial, I love the design. And that tiny little chain and fusee delights me to no end (notice my avatar photo of a Lange fusee). I truly love this watch! That being said, I do see the merits in the other watches, and for a chro...
