Two lovely Rolex GMT MASTER: 6542 and 1675 Gilt Chapter Ring Pointed Crown Guard.

 

The 6542 is from 1958. The strong point, a sublime and flawless deep black dial: 





This 1675 is from 1960. Here again, the dial is beautiful with its orange indices and wording. 







Each time I see a GMT MASTER, I fall in love. I am lucky they are not for sale, to avoid any temptation. wink

Depends. If you don't go for a 6542 with the original bakelite bezel, it can be more doable. As for the 1675, it depends on the configuration. [nt]

No problem. III 1958 Case Number: 398 xxx. Very close to the serial number of mine, which is also from III 1958 and also 398 xxx. [nt]

Indeed 397-398 is a classical serial number for 6542s.

For 6542 from III 1958, yes. I am preparing and trying to end a census of 6542, by year and serial number. [nt]
